Located in Forli, Italy, CEPI specialises in the design and build of customized solutions for the storage, conveying and dosing of raw materials for the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries. Over the past 35 years CEPI has built more than 10,000 installations worldwide.

In consultation and partnership with their growing customer base they have a deep understanding not only of the raw materials they are asked to handle but also of the local directives their equipment must comply with. In the UK that is DSEAR, our implementation of the European Union-wide ATEX directive.

Once installed and commissioned a CEPI system can be remotely monitored and managed via modem from the head office in Forli. Furthermore CEPI design in-house Total Computerised Control Systems for management control with software to trace back raw materials to their origin, providing full traceability and historical consumption data.

CEPI brings to the table a global knowledge of materials, environments, and markets as well as the continued research that goes into developing around 300 unique systems every year. With a vision centering research, customization and flexibility, CEPI provides each installation with the personalized care it deserves.

Globosilos

Outdoor silos in stainless steel for powders and granular products.

Globosilos are stainless steel single skin outdoor silos with vibrating cone or fluidized bed. Designed and built internally in a dedicated tower, CEPI’s exclusive welding technique leaves no seams between the cylinders, reducing the risk of contamination to zero. The inner surface is entirely smooth inside to prevent the persistence of leftovers.

Globosilo is hygienic and safe and comes with powder recovery filters and air exhaust system. Suitable for all food ingredients including abrasive ingredients.

The Globosilos feature as standard an automatic anti-condensation system to ensure that the Dew Point is never reached. The RH of the air in the void above the powder in the silo is equalized with the RH outside by the introduction of filtered ambient air continuously monitored by PLC.

Dimensions and Capacity: Up to 4800mm diameter, up to 25m high, 220 cu. meter capacity.

Globosilos

Big Bag Unloading Station

Big Bag unloading stations of variable capacity, suitable both to load silos and feed the lines directly.

Unloading unit in Stainless Steel suitable for big bags of any size. They can be used to feed directly to production lines or to load silos. With an electric chain hoist, a vibratory cone, dust exhaust filter and with either a screw fed rotary valve or simply a rotary valve for dosing onwards via the Vibrosifter to a WEIGH HOPPER.

Ergonomic systems which allows for the bags to be recycled.

Big Bag Unloading Station

Dosing Station and Weigh Hoppers

Systems for the weighing and dosing of powders and liquids at the end of the line: modular dosing hoppers for powders and tanks for liquids controlled by an electronic metering scale for the weighing. Dosing can be continuous or batch, positive, by loss of weight, by volume or by weight.

Usually fed from a CEPI SILO or a CEPI BIG BAG UNLOADING STATION, these custom built stainless steel hoppers sit on weigh cells mounted on modern, easy to clean frames. The hoppers have conical or rounded bottoms so no bridging, just free-flow dosing to a mixing bowl for example, via the subsequent Vibrosifter and magnet.

CEPI will also handle your liquid ingredients in their stainless steel, jacketed for hot water, tanks.

The systems are fully automatic, PLC and recipe controlled.

Dosing Station and Weigh Hoppers

Micro Ingredient System

Modular and extendable hermetic units for the automatic metering of powdered and granular minor ingredients.

The CEPI Micro Ingredient System is a custom built modular system that can be added to as you incorporate more minor ingredients. The system can handle challenging materials such as milk powder, cocoa powder, salt and more.

It is suitable for the production of confectionery such as snacks, cookies, pastries, cakes, chocolate, candies, drinks, as well as bakery products such as bread, pizza, short and long pasta.

The units are completely sealed to avoid contamination and have dedicated dosing screws specified based on the bulk density of the minor ingredient they contain.

The minor ingredients are volumetrically dosed onwards, usually to a weigh hopper ahead of a mixing process.

PLC and recipe controlled so that you can program what quantity and which ingredients are required for each product.
